KITCHEN & MARKET TEAM MEMBER
Help make and distribute great soups!  This full-time, salaried position has a little bit of everything, where you'll work as part of a small team and also independently to make, deliver and sell our soups directly to consumers in central NC. Salary range DOE.

Your role is divided up in the following ways:
> KITCHEN (50%) -- Mondays and Thursdays
Working alongside our small kitchen team, you'll see soups through from start to finish. This includes setting up workstations, washing, peeling, and chopping a variety and large volume of vegetables; cooking or baking off individual ingredients for soups; blending; packaging and labeling soups; dishes and clean-up.  Full Disclosure: lots of dishes and cleaning shared between all employees.  
> MARKETS & DELIVERIES (35%) -- Tuesdays and Saturdays
You'll be responsible for making weekly deliveries in our company van and staffing two weekly, year-round farmers' markets.  This includes pack out, set up, take-down for each market, and working independently throughout.
> ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT (15%) -- Flexible day
You'll focus additional hours on supporting inventory and kitchen organization on any day(s) of your choosing.

This is a physically demanding position that requires being able to:
> Lift and move 50 pounds
> Stand for extended periods of time
> Repeat the same physical movements and repetitive tasks with precision
> Work outside all types of weather

AVAILABILITY REQUIRED:
Daytime Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Early mornings required on Saturdays.

YOU ARE:
> Organized and is a stickler for details in all aspects of work, including cleaning

> Able to work quickly, cleanly & efficiently, with a sense of urgency & purpose
> Able to follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food

IDEALLY, YOU HAVE:
> Experience with farming, food prep and dish washing, and/or selling at farmers’ markets
> A love of vegetarian or vegan food
> Your own vehicle, with fold-down seats or a large trunk for deliveries and markets

FARMERS’ MARKET ASSISTANT

The Farmers Market Assistant is responsible for staffing a farmers’ market. Current openings are downtown Durham or Carrboro on Saturday mornings and Fearrington on Tuesday afternoons. This role includes pack out, set up, take-down for each market, and working independently throughout. This is an hourly position starting at $20/hour

> Tuesday afternoon & early evening availability (Fearrington)
> Saturday morning through 1pm availability (Durham or Carrboro)

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE HAS:

> A love for sales and customer service. Great attention to detail and quality in all aspects of work.
> Clean driving record
> Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, busy environment, while remaining friendly and organized.

> Able to lift 50 pounds, stand on their feet, and be willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
